EU PRO contributes to this goal through financing individual projects that contribute to social inclusion and cohesion in Serbia but also through supporting local self-governments to develop local social infrastructure and improve access to basic services for its citizens.

During May and June 2018, a public call for proposals for local infrastructure projects worth 4.5 million Euros financed by the European Union (EU) was conducted by the Programme. In September 2018, the Programme Steering Committee approved 37 projects[1] that aim to improve conditions in sports and cultural facilities, schools and kindergartens, health and social care institutions, while some will significantly improve communal infrastructure. In addition, in April 2019, the EU PRO Steering Committee approved the results of the Public Call for Proposals for Fostering Social Cohesion in Multi-ethnic Municipalities, which was held from September to October 2018:

22 projects[2] worth 383,913 Euros will be implemented by the civil society organisations and local self-governments jointly or independently with the aim of reducing inequality and discrimination, promoting inter-ethnic understanding and providing equal opportunities for all individuals in these communities.
