Through the formulation of the Detailed Regulation Plan, the working zone Istok, covering the area of 39 ha, will provide adequate capacities that can host up to 20 investors, namely small enterprises employing on average 35 to 50 persons, which means that, through a planning procedure, 1,000 new jobs may be opened.

Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.

The GIS project in the neighbouring municipalities of Rača, Batočina and Lapovo will enhance inter-municipal cooperation for efficient urban and spatial planning and management of communal infrastructure. Additionally the separate applications will be developed for the management of public property in Rača, for agriculture – beekeeping and effective flood management in Batočina and application for the promotion of working zones in the municipality of Lapovo. This will enhance overall socio-economic development.
