The project envisages the construction of two new transformer stations that will increase the capacity and enable stable delivery of electrical power to existing and future businesses operating in the zone. By installing LED lighting, as well as video surveillance and fire-protection system, the efficient use of energy sources and savings in maintenance costs will be achieved, increasing the attractiveness of the zone and raising the interest of new businesses to invest.

The development of technical documentation for a water supply system in the Smederevo Industrial Zone will enable its construction and thus meet the key preconditions (including proper water-supply and sanitary and fire protection conditions) that are necessary for attracting new investors and the development of businesses already operating in the zone.

Improvement of the electronic system for the issuance of building permits through the provision of a back-up server, which will enhance its stability and availability for over 6,500 users that benefit from it every day. Server and network equipment were procured through the project, as well as necessary licences. The aim of this activity was to contribute to the creation of a more favourable business environment by improving the efficiency and transparency of the e-government and, ultimatively, to new investments. At the same time, citizens’ trust in institutions, as well as the quality of services that are being offered through the e-government will also be enhanced.
